Contract and Permanent Adapter Developers - Cork - £EUROs Negotiable on experience plus excellent working environment
Contract and permanent adapter developer required by our client in Cork. You will work as part of a team responsible for the analysis, design and development of our clients Service Assure adapters. Responsibilities will include the specification of product requirements, the design of software solutions, and software product development, all within an exciting, fast paced, telecommunications environment, working with leading technologies such as Java, J2EE, Python and XML. The delivery of high-quality software within a rapid application development environment is key to the success of this group.You must have an excellent understanding of object-oriented software analysis, design and development. You should have at least 4 years experience of object-oriented development in a distributed computing environment working with any or all of the following technologies: Java, Python, or XML, RMI with a background in C++ and UNIX very useful. Database knowledge i.e. SQL*Oracle is an advantage. An understanding of protocols i.e. TCP*IP. Knowledge of OSS systems, wireless networks and*or IP networks will be very advantageous along with experience of integrating multi vendor systems. In addition, strong, practical experience of developing software through the complete lifecycle and use of software quality measures is preferred.You should be self-motivated, able to work well in a team, have strong interpersonal and written communications skills.This position offers excellent opportunities for future career development, both in the technical and leadership directions.
